Continuous Data Mirroring

Unlike other backup systems that take point-in-time snapshots of desktops and servers, MirrorCloud continuously captures data on desktops and servers. MirrorCloud captures data writes from the operating system as they occur to the hard drive. The data is then sent across the network to a SmartStyle Environment providing near real time data protection.

Data is copied at the block level independent of the operating system. In-use or open files do not cause mirroring errors and are also replicated. Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS) backups can be scheduled, flagging compatible applications to commit their data to the hard drive ensuring all application data is sent to the SmartStyle Environment. Once written to the SmartStyle Environment, data is protected by the SmartStyle Computing Platform.
