Terms & Conditions


The use of this site is governed by the policies, terms and conditions set forth below. Please read them carefully. Your use of this site indicates your acceptance of these terms and conditions. Your placement of an order indicates your acceptance of these terms and conditions. Your submittal of any purchase order indicates acceptance of these terms and conditions. These terms and conditions shall supersede any subsequent terms or conditions included with any purchase order reserves the right to make changes to this site and these terms and conditions at any time.

1) Ashlin reserves the right to refuse any order.

2) Price and Availability information are dynamic. If an item cannot be shipped, that was available when you placed your order, we will contact you as soon as we can. If an item is mispriced or discontinued we will inform you before we process your order.

3) Shipping prices are based on normal orders shipped to standard locations. Remote location, and very heavy or bulky items might have additional shipping fees. You will be informed before your order is processed if the shipping cost is more than our standard rates*.   All export/import orders require shipping quotes, unless we are shipping to a local freight forwarder or otherwise indicated on our site.

4) Many provinces now charge environmental fees that we have to pass along. We will add them to your order and send you the revision. In the event an environmental fee is applicable to your order that we were not aware of, we will invoice the fee when we become aware. None of the product prices include environmental fees.

5) Returns.  If there are problems with a product please read the next section Warranties.  If an item is ordered in error and needs to be returned, then we will do our best for you to minimize costs.  Let us know and we will contact the distributor and manufacturer to try and secure a no cost return and if necessary to get a restocking quote.  It is best to seek our advice before you purchase to ensure the products you are ordering will satisfy your requirements.

6) Warranties: Ashlin complies with Manufacturer policies for warranty. In some cases they allow us to exchange or refund items that are defective in the first 30 days. Some manufacturers do not allow this, and always want to repair or replace themselves. In any case, if you think a product is defective, then please contact the manufacturer`s tech support for assistance. Often they can fix the problem without any shipping required and if it cannot be fixed they will tell you if we can deal with the issue or if you have to work with them directly. If technical support does not resolve the issue, then please record the call reference information so that you can provide that information to us when you call.

7) Competitive Prices: We will do our best to match or beat competitive prices, but we have no price guarantee

8) Delivery Time: Shipping transit time is dependant on the warehouse location (see inventory tab on each product for warehouse information) and your location, as well as the shipping method you choose.  Backorders normally take two weeks.  If you want to know the estimated delivery date, please ask us by email.
 
9) Ownership: Ashlin retains ownership of all items until payment in full is received.

10)Overdue Accounts: Interest on overdue account are charged at a rate of 2% per month compounded monthly, 26.82% per annum. Our normal terms are due on receipt. Interest is not charged if payment is received in under 31 days.

Standard shipping rates.  If a shipment will cost more than our standard rate, you will be contacted before we process the order.

Fraud Prevention

Ashlin is very good at detecting and preventing fraudulent transactions. We have a policy of reporting attempted fraud to the authorities and to the individuals or businesses being compromised. So unless you want attention from the authorities, do not attempt fraudulent transactions with us. No one has been successful for a number of years since we changed our procedures. Although we ship many export orders, we will not ship anything outside of Canada unless we are 100% certain of the legitimacy of the transaction and payment.
